SME listing 16th December, 2012
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) contributes 8% of the country's GDP, 45% of the manufactured output and 40% of our exports. It provides employment to about 6 cr. people through 2.6 cr. enterprises. The Prime Minister's Task Force (Jan. 2010) has recommended to set-up a dedicated Stock Exchange/ Platform for SME. SEBI has also laid down the regulation for the governance of SME Platform.

BSE and NSE have launched their SME platforms. As per SME chamber of India around 5000 SMEs have the potential to for SME Listing. As of December 2012, around 11 Companies have been listed on BSE SME and 2 on NSE Emerge Exchange. More companies are in line to get listed on these SME exchanges.
