Defence Procurement Procedure (DPP) was first introduced in 2002 to streamline procurement of capital equipment by the Ministry of Defence (MoD). DPP scope was further enlarged through various amendments in 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2011 etc. The latest DPP was issued in 2012 which was further revised in 2013.
