India Juris navigates ESCROWPAY to secure India’s first IFSCA digital ESCROW authorisation in GIFT City

Escrowpay has secured India’s first digital escrow regulatory fintech authorization from IFSCA at Gift City, marking a significant milestone in its growth. Escrowpay was guided and assisted by India Juris team at GIFT City and New Delhi offices. The work involved complete turnkey advisory, documentation and co-ordination with the regulator, IFSCA.

Serving over 3,000 clients, including MSMEs and unicorns, Escrowpay has processed transactions exceeding ₹15,000 crore. This authorization will allow the company to expand its offerings, including cross-border transactions in 14 currencies. Managing Director Ashwin Chawwla emphasized Escrowpay’s mission to make escrow banking more accessible and secure. The company is raising $15 million in its Series A round, with over $6 million already secured. It plans to expand into the UAE and integrate with five large banks there next year.
