LegalTech Start-Up Accelerator Program

Embark, is India’s 1st LegalTech & IP Tech Accelerator Program launched by India Juris. Embark aims to support and mentor startups in the legal & Intellectual Property technology space, providing them with the resources and guidance they need to grow and succeed as well as access to a network of investors, advisors, and peers who can help them achieve their goals. A three-month (12 weeks) hybrid model accelerator program is designed to include pre-accelerator activities, an intensive in-person or virtual program, and post-accelerator support.

 

ELIGIBILITY

The startup should have DPIIT recognition and satisfy the criteria of Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS)

PRE-ACCELERATOR ACTIVITIES

Application and Selection Process: Potential participants will submit an application that includes information about their startup, team, market, and traction. Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee, which will then invite promising startups to participate in the program.

Kickoff Meeting: Selected startups will attend an initial meeting with the accelerator team to learn more about the program and meet other participants.

Mentor Matching: The accelerator team will match each startup with a mentor who has relevant legal and/or tech experience. Mentors will be experts from industry and investors.

 

ACCELERATOR PROGRAM (10 WEEKS)

Weeks 1-2: Introduction to LegalTech

LegalTech Industry Overview: Startups will learn about the latest trends and innovations in the legal technology industry.

Legal and Regulatory Considerations: Participants will gain an understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape, including compliance requirements, data protection, and intellectual property.

Customer Discovery: Startups will learn how to conduct customer discovery interviews to gain a deeper understanding of their target market and identify pain points.

Weeks 3-5: Product Development and Business Model

Product Design and Development: Participants will learn about product design and development, including how to create a minimum viable product (MVP).

Business Model Generation: Startups will learn how to develop and refine their business model, including revenue streams, pricing strategies, and customer acquisition channels.

Pitch Preparation: Participants will learn how to create an effective pitch deck and practice their pitch with mentors and other participants.

Weeks 6-8: Growth and Scaling

Growth Hacking: Startups will learn about growth hacking techniques to acquire and retain customers, including SEO, content marketing, and social media.

Fundraising and Investor Relations: Participants will learn about fundraising strategies and best practices, including how to pitch to investors, how to negotiate deal terms, and how to manage relationships with investors.

Sales and Marketing: Startups will learn how to build and execute effective sales and marketing strategies, including lead generation, customer segmentation, and conversion optimization.

Weeks 9-10: Demo Day Preparation

Demo Day Practice: Participants will practice their pitches and receive feedback from mentors and other participants.

Investor Outreach: Startups will receive guidance on how to reach out to potential investors and media to generate interest in their product and services.

 

POST-ACCELERATOR SUPPORT

Follow-up Meetings: Startups will have follow-up meetings with mentors and the accelerator team to discuss progress and receive feedback.

Investor Introductions: The accelerator team will make introductions to investors who may be interested in investing in the startup.

Continued Education and Networking: Startups will have access to continued education and networking opportunities to help them grow and scale their businesses.

 

HYDBRID MODE Virtual interaction on Zoom and physical interaction at Gurugram

DEMO DAYVirtual and Physical both, Startups will get opportunity to pitch before investors.
