Prateek brings over 15 years of extensive experience in corporate advisory, dispute resolution, banking and financial litigation, and regulatory matters. He advises domestic and international clients on opportunities within GIFT IFSC, with significant experience in fund structuring, fintech and digital financial services, aircraft and ship leasing, banking and financial services regulations, foreign university establishment frameworks, corporate treasury, and cross-border regulatory advisory. As a resident partner at India Juris, IFSC GIFT City, he will lead services relating to:
- End-to-end setup and structuring of regulated entities in IFSC, including Alternative Investment Funds AIFs, Asset Management Companies AMCs, IFSC Banking Units IBUs, Insurance and Reinsurance offices, Aircraft Leasing operations, Fintech, Techfin, Payment Service Provider License PSP, and Global In-House Centres GICs.
- Establishment and structuring of Foreign Universities and Educational Institutions under the IFSC framework.
- Drafting and reviewing documentation for financial products and services offered out of IFSC.
- Advising on structuring and availing tax benefits available under the IFSC regime, including Section 80LA and allied provisions.
- Advising on real estate transactions, including acquisition, development, leasing, and investment structures.
- Representing clients in arbitration, mediation, and litigation across forums, including IFSC-based dispute resolution mechanisms.
- Engaging on policy matters, regulatory reforms, and industry representations relevant to IFSC and financial services.
