This expansion, however, also raises important questions concerning licensing, liability, investment, insurance, data governance, space debris and regulatory certainty.
This publication examines India’s evolving regulatory framework for commercial space activities, identifies key legal and regulatory gaps, and considers whether a comprehensive legislative framework is required to support the sector’s continued growth while ensuring accountability and compliance with India’s international obligations.
